Research Progress on Extraction, Structure, Biological Activity and Application of Panax notoginseng Saponin

Panax notoginseng is a commonly used medicinal and edible plant in China. Panax notoginseng saponin is one of the main active ingredients of Panax notoginseng. It belongs to tetracyclic triterpenoid saponins. It has many biological activities such as anti-thrombus, nerve protection, heart protection, anti-inflammation, regulation of intestinal flora, antioxidation, anti-tumor, regulation of bone metabolism, and anti-fibrosis and other biological activities. It can be applied in the fields of food health care and biomedicine.in food health care and biomedical fields. In this paper, the public reports of Panax notoginseng saponin in recent years are reviewed, summarized and analyzed, in order to clarify the structure and biological activity of Panax notoginseng saponin, so as to provide reference for the development and application of new products of Panax notoginseng saponin.
