Abstract
The effects of sodium humate(0.5%~8.0%)on the growth, bacteriostatic and adhesion ability of Lactobacillus plantarum were studied. The Lactobacillus plantarum bacteriostasis rate to Escherichia coli,self-agglutination rate, surface hydrophobicity and co-agglutination rate with Escherichia coli were determined. The results showed that adding 0.5%~1.0% sodium humate could improve the antibacterial rate of Lactobacillus plantarum for 19.18%~75.54%. Adding 4.0%~8.0% sodium humate could improve the auto-aggregation rate of Lactobacillus plantarum and the co-agglutination rate with Escherichia coli at 2~6 h. Adding 2.0%~4.0% sodium humate could improve the surface hydrophobicity of Lactobacillus plantarum for 112.5%~128.57%. In conclusion, choosing the right concentration of sodium humate could improve the inhitition and adhesion ability of Lactobacillus plantarum.
