Determination of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, and G2 in foods by high performance liquid chromatography with pre-column derivation

  • The method was improved to determine aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2 in foods by high performance liquid chromatograph with pre-column derivation. Samples were extracted by methanol-water solution (8∶2, v∶v) or dichloromethane according to the different food types. The extracts were cleaned up by immunoaffinity column.After derivation by CF3 COOH or HCOOH, the determination of aflatoxins was performed by high performance liquid chromatography with a fluorescence detector. The detection limits of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2were0.2, 0.2, 0.2 and 0.2μg/kg respectively. The recoveries at different level spiked ranged from 75.0% to 94.1%.The improved method was more accurate for different foods by overcoming the matrix disturbance.
