Abstract
Objective:To compare the content of Saponins in Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino from different regions. Methods :The HPLC separation was carried out with a C18column (4.6mm ×250mm, 5μm) using acetonitrile and water as mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.8m L·min-1. The detection wavelength was203 nm and the column temperature was maintained at 25℃. Results:The material collected from Fengyukou in Shaanxi had the highest content of ginsenoside Rb1, Rb3 and Rd, about 1.625%, 1.776%, 0.892% respectively. The material from Pu'er in Yunnan contained the highest Gyp (Gypenoside) XLIX, approximately 1.75%. The material from Chongqing Beibei-1 had the highest content of Gyp XVII, about 1.063%. Conclusion:There was a significant difference in the content of Saponins in Gynostemma pentaphyllum from the different areas.
