Abstract
A novel mutation approach, the atmospheric room temperature plasma (ARTP) , was used to treat Torulopsis glabrata Tp19 for the breeding of high pyruvate producer. The mutant with high pyruvate production was quickly screened out based on the ratio of transparent circle to colony diameter on CaCO3 screening plate with colony diameter and the acid production on 100-well plate. The obtained mutant A214 exhibits good genetic stability and pyruvate production reached 37.43g/L, which was 13.69% higher than that of original strain.
